Linwood Hart opened a new show of stunning paintings at the Benjamin Winery off Old Greensboro Road on Sunday March 15. As time goes on, Linwood only gets better.....kind of like a good wine! He uses printed imagery with text very successfully in these new works and his composition and color choices are very sophisticated and engaging. I especially like the pieces that include images of himself: an ongoing theme readily recognizable by anyone who visits his flickr pages.
The winery is quite a hike by car but well worth the trip especially on a nice day. The show runs through April 26th and the web site for the winery is http://www.benjaminvinyards.com.
